Mitch recalled struggling with the robber in the Cory barn, who was killed when a gunshot set off a fire. After talking with Olivia, Mitch decided to tell Zachary his story. Melissa was puzzled when Jordan forced Blaine to get involved with the escort service. Mac asked Brian to check with Zachary about getting Larry back onto the police force. Mac decided to talk with Rachel again when Ada feared Rachel would ruin the family. Melissa explained the escort service to Blaine. Zachary and Brian threatened to pursue investigations after talking about Larry. Zachary was suspicious of Mitch’s story when Mitch couldn’t explain why he was in the Cory barn. Phillip suspected the dock project and Jamie’s accident are part of a scheme to hurt Mac. When an upset Blaine couldn’t explain why Jordan got her involved in the escort service, Joey offered his apartment as a place to get away for awhile. Sally assured Alice she needn’t worry about her so much. Liz and Jim left to go out to dinner, while Leigh took Sally to a hockey game. Alone, Alice decided to enter the dating scene again. Jerry gave Clarice comfort, but couldn’t convince her to be optimistic. Larry called Jerry worried about Clarice. Leigh and Sally agreed to see each other again after a successful first date. Russ asked to speak with Kit about Rick privately. After talking about their respective children, Mitch asked Alice to go with him to the Connection. Kit explained to Russ that, after the death of his oldest son Taylor Jr. (TJ), Taylor pressured Rick to take TJ’s place. Ada asked Rachel how she’s going to handle Mitch once he regains his memories. Mitch told Olivia that he doesn’t want to complicate matters by pursuing Rachel. Rick and Marianne decided to go to Jordan and Blaine’s housewarming party together. Olivia and Alice accepted dates for the party with Brian and Mitch. Russ advised Sandy that he could move out of the Cory’s in a couple weeks and suggested he find a desk job. Russ told Olivia he plans to find Rick a mentor for support. Kit and Marianne came to an understanding about their friendship and Marianne’s intentions for Rick. Mac offered Sandy a job at Cory Publishing. Russ and Rick opened up to each other while preparing dinner. Rachel didn’t want to hear any more warnings from Mac or Ada about talking to Jamie. Melissa met Mac and Rachel at the Connection before making her singing debut. Mitch and Rachel each separately had flashbacks of their time together in St. Croix.

Note: Taylor Halloway Jr. (TJ) was Rick’s older brother. TJ was supposed to be his father’s successor. However, during TJ’s senior year of college, Taylor gave him a car as a pre-graduation present where a car accident occurred, causing his death.

Cecile told Jamie it was okay to tell Rachel about their marriage in private. A drunk Jerry taunted Blaine about the trouble she’s in for being involved with Jordan, who’s jealousy was aroused by Jess. Joey interrupted Jordan and Jerry nearly throwing punches. Jamie laid into Cecile for announcing their marriage before he could prepare Rachel. Mac told Sandy about Jamie and Cecile’s past and present relationships. Sandy told Mac his plans to move out of the Cory household. Kit told Russ she will no longer interfere in Rick’s life. Clarice admitted to Jerry that seeing Larry and Melissa together bothered her. Mac suggested accepting Jamie’s marriage to Rachel, who felt she’d already lost Jamie as a son.

MARCH 11, 1981 (EP. #4237)
Jamie was not pleased when the police report Jerry gave him ruled what happened at the dock project to be an accident. Pat told Cecile that Mac wants to see both of him in his office. Jerry explained his suspicions of the dock project “accident” to Jamie. Cecile fumed when Pat was given two projects during Cecile’s absence. Mac refused to give the chapter regarding the Miriam Sanderson affair to Cecile for editing. Jamie agreed to sublet his loft to Jerry, so him and Kit could have time alone together. Cecile was not pleased when Liz said that Sandy was Pat’s new assistant trainee. Jamie planned to confront Mac after speaking with Cecile and Phillip. Mac told Sandy about his job responsibilities at Brava. Jamie assigned Phillip on a story for The Ledger regarding the dock project incidents. Pat was confident that Sandy would be a fast learner while working at Brava. Jerry couldn’t convince Clarice to hope for Larry’s return to their marriage. Joey warned Sandy about Cecile and thought that Jamie was making the same mistakes he made with Blaine. Sandy warned Joey to stay away from Blaine. Jamie confronted Mac about making business decisions without him and being sent out of town. Phillip agreed to hire Leigh to work for The Ledger as a runner. Jess suggested Jordan get Jerry out of Blaine’s way. Jamie refused to believe Rachel’s claims that Cecile is broke and is after his money. Sally was happy when Leigh was able to open up to her about his life and interests. Feeling pressured by Jess, Jordan decided to use one of Ken Steele’s contacts to have the dock project shut down. Jamie believed Rachel when she said Jamie’s business trip was Mac’s way of getting him out of town for protection. With Ada present, Jamie demanded that Rachel accept his marriage. Ada laid into Rachel for interfering in Jamie’s life. Jordan asked Joey to follow Blaine and protect her and keep him informed if Blaine meets anyone at the Connection. Ada accused Rachel of not letting Jamie make his own choices. Rachel decided to cut Jamie out of her life.

Blaine called the paramedics after discovering an injured Jerry. Rick let Blaine accompany Jerry to the hospital. Rachel told Sandy that Jamie refuses to listen to her warnings about Cecile. Privately, Sandy referred to himself and Amanda as brother and sister. Jerry asked Blaine to find Larry. Sandy was touched to see Amanda and Mac interacting with each other. Rick and Russ considered performing surgery to remove Jerry’s spleen. Rick called Marianne to have Kit come to the hospital because of Jerry. Blaine told Larry that she had an appointment with Jerry to warn him about what Jordan might do.

MARCH 17, 1981 (EP. #4241)
Blaine told Clarice and Leigh what happened to Jerry and his current condition. Joey asked to speak with Blaine alone. Marianne convinced Kit to go home and get some rest. Joey convinced Blaine to go to his apartment so Jordan wouldn’t know of Blaine’s concern for Jerry. Russ, Brian, and Olivia thought it odd that Jerry was involved in a hit in a run while in a parking garage. Sandy offered to have Melissa bring some of Blaine’s clothes from the Connection for Blaine to change into. Brian told Olivia he thinks of himself as a father to Jerry. Larry gave details of the car that hit Jerry to Captain Petroni, who posted guards in front of Jerry’s hospital room. Clarice expressed her gratitude to Jerry. Leigh tried to convince Brian not to worry so much, but Brian said Jerry has no family left. Leigh comforted Clarice. Jordan was jealous when Sandy brought Blaine home to him. Marianne comforted Kit and assured her that Jerry will recover. Melissa and Sandy warned Joey about Jordan and warned him against pursuing his feelings for Blaine. Melissa told Joey it’s impossible to quit the business once you’re involved. Sandy told Melissa and Joey that he’s not sure whether Jordan bought the story about why Sandy brought Blaine home. Cecile noticed the picture of Mac and Miriam, and started reading the chapter on Miriam. Pat told Olivia that she and Phillip spent the night together. Pat wondered whose side Jamie will take if there’s ever more problems between Cecile and Pat again. Jamie and Phillip discussed the Ledger but disagreed with how involved Jamie would be in the paper. Russ convinced Rick to go home with Marianne, where he fell asleep. Joey told Blaine that he thinks Jerry’s accident was a scare tactic. Cecile tried to convince Jamie that Mac and Pat are trying to force her out of Brava. Jamie agreed to talk to Pat for Cecile. Jordan brought flowers over for Jerry. Rick asked Larry if Jerry is safe from harm while in the hospital. Pat questioned Jamie’s objectivity towards business. Sandy suggested that Pat voice her frustrations about Jamie and Cecile to Mac. Mac agreed to talk to Jamie for Pat. At Liz’s dinner party, Jim changed the subject when Liz tried to play matchmaker for Olivia and Russ. Mac wasn’t pleased when Jamie planned to redo the Brava budget himself. Russ decided to have a drink with Olivia before returning to the hospital to check on Jerry. Rachel recalled Mitch holding Matthew. Jamie stole some of Cecile’s amphetamines in order to cure his drowsiness.

MARCH 20, 1981 (EP. #4244)
