Musical Intelligence is the capacity to think in music, to be able to hear patterns, recognize them and perhaps manipulate them. Individuals with this form of music smart understand rhythms. They immediately respond to music either appreciating or criticizing what they hear. Many such people are extremely sensitive to environmental sounds (e.g. crickets, bells, dripping taps). Their skills include singing, whistling, playing musical instruments, recognizing tonal patterns, composing music, remembering melodies and understanding the structure and rhythm of music.
