This site was created the low budget way - entirely with simple, hand coded HTML, scanned photographs and a few digital camera pictures.
Why do it this way? This page was done to get the kids' faces on the 'net and to show others, especially my customers, that there is no black magic involved in the creation of a simple web site when the aim is to inform and not to dazzle. The author very much dislikes sites that waste valuable resources with gimmicks instead of content.
Yes, there are tradeoffs that must be made to conserve scarce web resources and the author chose to include larger pictures and more words rather than extraneous colour and flashy things everywhere.
