Rehearsal (back to index)

We all gathered at the church on the Thursday before the wedding to go over the entire event with my uncle...Fr. Gerry.

"OKAY EVERYBODY..LISTEN UP!"

After the rehearsal we all went over to my parents place in Bells Corners to have a great dinner (Thanks Mom & Dad)!

Paule and I gave out gifts to our wedding party.  We really do appreciate all of your help.

Preparing for the wedding (back to index)

Paule and the 'girls' being 'made up' at Mrs. Marchand's place just before the wedding.

Henri & Rob pulling me away from my computer one hour before the wedding.  "Paul, stop checking your e-mail and start getting dressed!"

Henri giving me a hand getting my tux on.  He made sure I packed some extra t-shirts for later on...good call Henri!

The Wedding (back to index)

An interesting twist to the usual protocol was that I escorted my parents (Barbara & Jack) down the aisle.

Michelle Marchand, our "flower girl"...what a cutie!

Paule was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents (Claude & Pauline)

Lighting the single candle...signifying the beginning of a new life together.

Exchanging our vows

"What do you mean you don't have the rings Rob!"  Just kidding, everything went smoothly.

Signing the marriage license.

Rob Spearman (Best Man) and Carol Lahaie (Maid of Honour)

Our Best Man & Maid of Honour

Uncle Joe, Aunt Jane, Jack & Barbara

Leaving the church being chauffeured by my brother Chris.

Our parents.  Paule and I greatly appreciate all your love an support.  You played a very important role in making our wedding a beautiful day!  Thank you!

My "Best Men" Rob Spearman and Henri Van Zandvoort.

The Maids of Honour with Paule

We were so glad that Uncle Gerry was able to come all the way from British Columbia to marry us.

Da Boys!  Thanks for all the help guys...you're the best!  From left to right: Brian Morris (Usher), Dave Hodgins (Usher), Rob Spearman (Best Man), Paul Morneau (Groom), Henri Van Zandvoort (Best Man), Eric Leclair (Master of Ceremonies), Jason Smith (Usher)

The Newlyweds

Lucas and Jordan did a great job as Alter Servers during our Wedding sacrament and mass.  Thanks for you help!

The Marchand girls!  Celine & Simone were gift bearers, and Michelle was our flower girl.

Eric helped out with the bubbles outside the church.  Thanks for all your help kids!

The Reception (back to index)

The Ottawa Hunt & Golf

Our Master of Ceremonies, Eric Leclair, at the Podium.  Eric did a great job in both French and English...thanks for all your hard work Eric!

Henri was chatting everybody up in the receiving line.

Eric and Nathalie played a hilarious game where Paule and I had to open "grocery gifts" in response to funny questions.

Paule meet the Morneau's...they aren't all like my brother Chris...honest!

Toasting the beautiful bride.

Mrs. & Mr. Marchand talking about Paule and welcoming Paul to the family.

Mr. & Mrs. Morneau welcoming Paule in to the family and telling all kinds of stories that my co-workers will never let me live down.

"Don't believe everything my mom just said people."

Our first dance: "Breath" by Faith Hill

During our 1st dance we got "attacked"!

Henri, Patti and Jordan disco dancing.

Dave & Jen Maxwell.  Dave's dancing deteriorated as the evening wore on!

Stephanie and Rodney came over from 02 base with an ambulance.  All the paramedics in the room strapped me down to the stretcher and took me away!

Being wheeled out to the ambulance.  Noticed the flight boy (Brian Morris) just supervising in the background!

What a great ICU nurse...Paule's saying "I need a fluid bolus here...STAT!"

All the Heroes! (that includes Jason and Ralph...I guess)

These people may be responsible for saving your life some day...be afraid...be very, very afraid!

Alli burger!

Mon etudiant...careful there young man!

The good 'ol first aid group!  I was so happy that my friends Dr. Thompson and M&M could make it!  And, of course, Dave Curry did a great job as our official photographer and videographer!

I was directed to retrieve the garter using my teeth only.  Far be it from me to disobey a direct order!

"THAT'S NOT MY GARTER!!!"

The darn garter had no spring left in it which made it difficult to toss.

I had to get my nephew Luke to help me toss the garter.

Tossing that 20lbs bouquet to the single girls.

We had a hard time keeping Sam, Eric, Simone, Celine and Michelle away from our wedding cake.

Tamara, Mike, Debbie, and Martine.  Mike and Debbie are two great friends that I met back in my hockey refereeing days.  I was so glad that you guys could be there!

The kids were dancing up a storm all night...endless energy!

Gail, Rob, and Jacques.

Aunt Audrey; Uncles Des, Gordie and Gerry

Cousin Glen, John and Gerry.

You know what they say about those nurses!  Tisk, tisk, tisk!

Carol, Paule and Martine

Those good 'ol floor nurse from Kingston...it just isn't a party without them!

Dave Curry...always ready with the camera!  Most of the pictures on this page are compliments of Dave.  Great work Dave...Thanks!

The Bells Corners/Crystal Beach gang!

Those are two excellent guys next to me!

"EASY GIRLS...I'M TAKEN!"  "Catherine...watch what your grabbing!"

The Order of the Apples!  Excellent decorating at the Hunt Club ladies!

If you have any good pictures please send us copies!

Thanks for making our wedding an absolutely awesome day everybody!

Honeymoon (back to index)

1st stop: The Bear Trail Resort Inn (Whitney, Ont.)

On Galeairy Lake at the East entrance to Algonquin Park.  This "all-inclusive" resort is absolutely awesome!  We highly recommend it.

2nd stop: Sunny Point Cottages (Parry Sound, Ont.)

On Otter Lake (Ontario) located about 15 minutes south of Parry Sound, off Georgian Bay.  These are "housekeeping" cottages.

Our first week was spent at the very nice "Bear Trail Resort".   Paule is seen here with two necessities...a Corona and a bottle of "Off".

Every morning we had breakfast brought to our log cabin and we usually ate outside on our deck.  Excellent food!  We had a private spot on Galeairy Lake which extends into Algonquin Park.

We went mountain biking one day.

We went horseback riding the next day...which wasn't the smartest thing to do since the seats on the mountain bikes left us with sore butts!

We spent a lot of time around the heated salt water pool soaking up the sun and ordering awesome Pina Collatas!

This is a picture of Paule on our deck at Sunny Point Cottages (Otter Lake).

There are still more pictures to see!  Each of the three links below will take you to separate pages.
