I am a journalist by trade, having spent many years in various radio & TV stations across Canada, five years as a foreign correspondent in Central America, and elsewhere, I work now for a chain of regional newspapers.

Check out this great pic circa summer 1985 with Jon Pole and his brother. Jon has just been granted a license for a brand new radio station in Renfrew, CHMY 96.1. Think he could reach the control board back then?
Always in trouble, I am hauled away by Ontario Provincial Police Senior Constable Don Gougeon to serve out my time during the 2004 Jail and Bail for Community Policing. He always finds some trumped up charge!I'm innocent!Police brutality!

This was one of my projects, a TV show called Connections. It is a locally based Reality dating show and was broadcast through the 2003/2004 TV season every night on Channel 22 at 7 p.m. Yours truly hosted the show with the lovely Erin as our Connection's lady!

Losing the spread!
I have been getting serious about losing weight, and after shedding 35 pounds in 2003/2004 by a few lifestyle changes, I decided to try the PEAK system used by professional athletes. Now I am really challenged after our newspaper chain picked up the story! For more information, press the button.
I have now been at this for three months and am slowly making progress. The belt has gone in two notches and my weight is down to 264 pounds. That is from a high of over 300. The goal remains under 200 pounds! For more information, press the button.
