This live steam locomotive is a 3 1/2" gage "Juliet", 0-4-0 engine.

Extensive work was done on the engine to rebuild her. She has a new ash pan which can be dropped by pulling a pin. The ash pan has a cleanout door and adjustable air inlet openings to control the air entering the firebox. (The new ash pan with the air control was a great improvement over the original design). I also added a boiler feed water heater, a water tank sight glass, and a dead man's throttle.

As you can see from the picture she is a great little steamer and the photo shows her hauling three adults and six children up a slight grade. She is also pulling three 36" long railway cars.

A storage case was made for the engine which also serves as a test bed. The wheels sit on rollers and the engine may be run on air to demonstrate the locomotive's operation. The storage case has a cover and also a locking drawer for the storage of tools and equipment. The engine is bolted into the case to prevent it moving around and the case has carrying handles built onto the base portion.
